Certified Pharmacy Tech - Inpatient Pharmacy
PRN - hours/schedule varies (potentially working days, evenings, weekends, holidays)
When working, would be scheduled for 8-11 hour shifts
Job Description:
- Pharmacy Tech II is a certified pharmacy technician position who supports pharmacy services by assembling and participating in the distribution of medications. A pharmacy technician II will need certification by a nationally recognized certification board. This position will assist the department’s professional staff, under direct supervision, in numerous aspects of ordering, receiving, storage, distribution, and monitoring medication use.
Requirements/Preferred Qualifications:
- Registration with Kentucky Board of Pharmacy (KY hospitals), within 30 days of hire date if you are a new registrant. If previously registered, you must have registration upon hire.
- Nationally certified as a pharmacy technician.
- Pharmacy work experience preferred.
