Job Title: Food and Beverage Supervisor

Supervision Received: General Manager

Key Responsibilities:

- Supervise all aspects of the food outlet process.

- Supervise operations in casino food outlet.

- Train staff on effective and friendly guest service techniques including policies and procedures related to Food & Beverage controls, service sequence and service standards.

- Enforce policies and procedures related to Food & Beverage controls, service sequence and service standards.

- Obtain a bank from the Casino vault and count money in cash drawers at the beginning and end of each shift.

- Maintain, operate, and reconciliate a point-of-sale cash register.

- Receive payment by cash, cards, vouchers, etc. for food services.

- Ensure cleanliness and organization of food outlet area.

- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of attendance, customer issues and shift reports.

- Show our guests we appreciate and value them by providing the best customer service.

- Maintain employee tip distributions.

- Log alcohol for safe serving and inventory purposes.

General Responsibilities:

- Participate in departmental and company training programs as required.

- Balance EOD reports.

- Be a responsible key holder.

- At times based on business needs, may prepare, cook, and serve food.

- Use the Point of Sale to place and cash out orders.

- Maintain relations among workers and resolves grievances.

- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Education

- High School diploma or equivalent required

Experience

- Three (3) years’ experience required as captain/supervisor

- Experience with and knowledge of applicable food service and beverage operations regulatory compliance requirements

- Casino food handling a plus.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

- Strong knowledge of Casino guest service techniques typical of a food outlet setting

- The ability to create effective and accurate schedules.

- Provide documentation of meal break tracking, attendance variance and disciplinary actions.

- Knowledge of Point of Sale electronic check ordering systems is required

- The ability to interact professionally and positively with employees, superiors and guest.

- Ability to quickly and effectively analyze and resolve guest complaints and employee disputes

- Must be able to speak, read, and understand English

- Able to walk and stand for at least (8) hours per shift

- Superior ability to multitask

- Able to lift twenty-five (50) pounds for various job-related duties

- Attendance and punctuality are essential functions of the position

- Ability to work at a rapid pace while maintaining attention to detail

- Superior supervisory, teaching, motivational and time management skills required

- Excellent communication and promotional skills

- Must be friendly, outgoing, considerate, patient, enthusiastic and respectful of others

- Must be flexible in order to meet the needs of the organization as well as the customers

- Must be able to handle alcohol cut-offs/possibly confrontational situations with guests.

- Ability to maintain confidences, and foster an ethical work environment

- Ability to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries and complaints

- Must be able to work in a smoke-filled casino environment

Licenses/Certifications/Other:

- Must be able to pass a background check and receive a license or permit from any Regulatory Agency (Oklahoma ABLE Commission, Gaming Commission, ServSafe, etc.), if applicable to perform the essential job functions

- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug test

- Must obtain a Ponca Tribe Liquor License

- Must already possess or be able to immediately obtain an Oklahoma or Federal Food Handler’s License.
