Machine Operator
Location: Harrisburg, NC Position Type: Full-Time / Hourly
Schedule: 2-2-3 Rotating 12-Hour Schedule (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
The Role
Our client in Harrisburg, NC is seeking a dedicated Machine Operator to oversee copper plating machine operations. This position is responsible for running machinery, conducting ongoing quality inspections, performing routine maintenance, and preparing finished rods for shipment in a heavy manufacturing environment.
What You Will Do
Operate metal plating equipment while continually inspecting output to identify quality issues and adjust parameters accordingly.
Point, chamfer, band, and label finished plated metal rods to prepare them for shipping.
Perform routine downtime maintenance, general equipment upkeep, and maintain secondary plating machinery.
Safely operate a forklift to move raw materials, supplies, and completed copper product throughout the facility.
Complete all order paperwork, inventory logs, and production documentation accurately.
Perform physical duties including moving across uneven terrain and lifting items up to 50 lbs. in environments with moving mechanical parts, wet conditions, fumes, and fluctuating temperatures.
What You Will Bring
Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in a production or heavy manufacturing environment.
Minimum 1 year of proven forklift operation experience.
Strong self-motivation, high sense of urgency, initiative, and time management skills.
Proven ability to multitask and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Ability to work a 2-2-3 rotating 12-hour schedule (day or night shift availability).
