Position Summary
Suburban Drywall is seeking a Project Manager for our Framing Division. The Project Manager coordinates, plans, organizes, and oversees all aspects of metal framing projects, including project schedules, job documents, material coordination, field communication, contract administration, and correspondence in accordance with company policy, contract documents, quality standards, and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Review estimates, schedules, contracts, shop drawings, specifications, and construction documents related to framing scope.
- Manage contract administration, including change orders, RFIs, RFPs, submittals, and field changes.
- Coordinate metal framing layouts, sequencing, manpower needs, and material requirements with field supervisors and project teams.
- Initiate and maintain communication with general contractors, project managers, vendors, suppliers, and internal team members.
- Represent the company at pre-construction, coordination, scheduling, and job progress meetings.
- Communicate daily with field supervisors regarding plans, schedules, project scope, site readiness, safety concerns, and jobsite issues.
- Generate job sheets, work orders, purchase orders, and field handoff documentation.
- Track project costs, material usage, labor production, and change order impacts while supporting billing and accounts receivable processes.
- Coordinate material deliveries, returns, equipment needs, and vendor follow-up to support project schedules.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for dispute resolution and issue escalation on assigned framing projects.
- Maintain accurate and organized project documentation, correspondence, records, and closeout information.
- Collaborate with safety personnel, field staff, and vendors to ensure project success and compliance with safety expectations.
- Assist with estimating, bid review, and scope clarification as needed.
- Ensure professional conduct, organized workspaces, and timely follow-through with customers and internal teams.
- Operate and maintain company-issued technology, tools, and equipment.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of metal framing materials, systems, installation procedures, sequencing, and related construction practices.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, shop drawings, and framing details.
- Estimating experience and understanding of construction costs, labor production, and material takeoffs preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Strong organizational, scheduling, documentation, and project management skills.
- Professionalism and diplomacy in dealing with clients, vendors, field teams, and internal team members.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple active projects and deadlines.
- Valid driver's license
