Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced, mechanically inclined Senior Service & Repair Technician to troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and assemble powered and non-powered mobility equipment.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys diagnosing problems and figuring out how equipment works. Previous mobility-equipment experience is not required. Candidates with experience in HVAC, automotive repair, appliance repair, equipment maintenance, field service, electromechanical repair, or similar technical trades are encouraged to apply.
The Senior Technician should be comfortable working independently and handling more complex troubleshooting and repair assignments.
Responsibilities Diagnose mechanical and basic electrical equipment problems. Repair, maintain, test, and assemble mobility equipment. Troubleshoot components such as motors, batteries, chargers, switches, wiring, controllers, and mechanical assemblies. Replace worn or defective components and verify proper operation after repairs. Use hand tools, power tools, and basic diagnostic equipment safely and effectively. Follow manufacturer instructions and established repair and safety procedures. Maintain accurate repair and service documentation. Assist with equipment receiving, organization, and inventory as needed. Provide technical guidance to less-experienced technicians when appropriate. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Qualifications Previous hands-on mechanical, maintenance, repair, or technical experience required. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical and basic electrical problems. Experience with HVAC, automotive, appliance repair, field service, equipment maintenance, or similar technical work is highly transferable. Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment. Dependable, organized, and able to work with limited supervision.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Ability to lift and move equipment, including up to 120 pounds with assistance.
Must successfully complete required background screening.
Compensation & Growth
Starting pay is $28.00–$32.00 per hour, based on experience and demonstrated technical ability.
Opportunity for an increased hourly rate based on performance within the first 90 days.
