About this role

Frontier School STEM High School is seeking an anticipated ELA Teacher for the 2026–27 school year. The starting salary for this position is $63,000 and will be commensurate with experience and education.

Qualification

- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university

- Valid Missouri teacher certificate for the appropriate level is preferred.

Responsibilities

- Plan a program of study that meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of the students.

- Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students.

- Prepare for classes assigned and show written evidence of preparation upon request of immediate supervisor.

- Utilize various instructional techniques and instructional media consistent with the physical limitations of the location provided and the needs and capabilities of the individuals or student groups involved.

- Assess the students' progress regularly and provide progress reports as required.

- Take necessary and reasonable precautions to protect the students, equipment, materials, and facilities.

- Maintain accurate and complete records as required by law, district policy, and administrative regulations.

- Comply with all district policies, rules, and regulations.

- Develop classroom rules and maintain order in a fair and just manner.

- Be available to the students and parents for education-related purposes.

- Plan and supervise purposeful assignments for teacher aide(s) and volunteer(s) and cooperatively with department heads.

- Participate in district and campus staff development.

- Attend staff meetings and serve on staff committees.

- Maintain a professional relationship with colleagues.

- Prepare and submit lesson prep in a timely manner on the platform the school utilizes.

- Maintain a minimum number of grades in the grade book promptly.

- Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills and Abilities

- Ability to communicate effectively in both written and oral forms.

- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.

- Ability to organize special programs for assigned campus.

- Ability to use computer including software, database used by the district, spreadsheet and word
processing software, calculator, copy machine and telephone.

- Ability to analyze data.

- Ability to use effective public speaking skills and problem-solving skills.
