Job description:

Position Summary

Provide speech and language services to students across a cluster of charter school campuses in the High Desert region, including assessment, direct therapy, and consultation, in compliance with state special education regulations.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct speech, language, articulation, fluency, and voice assessments to determine eligibility for special education services

- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with IEP goals

- Provide individual and group therapy sessions per IEP-mandated frequency and duration

- Participate in IEP meetings; write assessment reports and present findings to families and staff

- Consult with teachers and paraprofessionals on classroom communication strategies and accommodations

- Support AAC (augmentative and alternative communication) device implementation and training as needed

- Maintain compliance with assessment timelines and triennial review deadlines

- Collaborate with school psychologists, ABA providers, and other related service staff serving shared students across sites

Required Qualifications

- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology

- Valid California SLP license and/or Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)

- Valid California Speech-Language Pathology Services Credential (or eligibility)

- Experience conducting special education assessments and writing legally defensible reports

- Strong working knowledge of IDEA and California special education code

- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between campuses within the High Desert cluster

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in charter school or multi-site environments

- Bilingual (Spanish) a plus

- Familiarity with AAC systems and ABA/autism service coordination
