About this role
Job Purpose:
- As a Driver at Kraken Logistics LLC, your main goal is to ensure packages are delivered safely and on time. You'll be the friendly face our customers see, making sure their deliveries arrive in perfect condition, no matter the weather!
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely drive and operate your delivery vehicle, following all traffic laws and company guidelines.
- Use a handheld device for routing information and customer delivery updates.
- Lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs, ensuring they are handled with care.
- Comfortably drive and work in various weather conditions, maintaining safety at all times.
- Safely enter and exit the delivery vehicle, ensuring your own safety and the safety of the packages.
Qualifications
Required Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent
Required Experience:
- Experience driving delivery vehicles or similar
- Familiarity with using handheld devices for navigation and delivery management
- Previous experience in a role requiring physical activity, such as lifting packages up to 50 lbs.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to safely drive and operate a delivery vehicle
- Comfortable working in different weather conditions
- Ability to safely enter and exit a delivery vehicle multiple times a day
- Strong attention to detail for following delivery instructions
- Good communication skills for interacting with customers and team members
