St. Joseph’s Health is seeking a dedicated and collaborative Family Medicine Physician to join our Family Medicine Residency Program as Core Faculty . This is an exciting opportunity for a physician who is passionate about graduate medical education, resident mentorship, academic medicine, and delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.

The position offers a balanced combination of 60% Core Faculty/Administrative responsibilities and 40% clinical practice , allowing the physician to play an integral role in educating and mentoring the next generation of family physicians while maintaining an active clinical practice.
Position Highlights

- Participate in resident education, curriculum development, scholarly activity, and quality improvement initiatives

- Maintain an active outpatient Family Medicine practice

- Serve as a faculty advisor and advocate for residents throughout their training

- Collaborate with an experienced, multidisciplinary faculty and leadership team

- Participate in conferences, educational presentations, and other academic activities

- Contribute to the continued growth, development, and success of the Family Medicine Residency Program

This role is ideal for a board-certified or board-eligible Family Medicine physician who enjoys teaching, mentoring, and shaping the development of future physicians while continuing to provide meaningful patient care.

Compensation: $250,000 annually

The ideal candidate is a board-certified or board-eligible Family Medicine physician with a strong interest in academic medicine and resident education. We are seeking an individual who enjoys teaching, mentoring, collaboration, and helping residents develop into confident, compassionate, and highly skilled Family Medicine physicians.

Candidates with previous teaching, precepting, residency faculty, scholarly activity, or graduate medical education experience are especially encouraged to apply.

- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine
- Eligible for an unrestricted New Jersey medical license
- Commitment to graduate medical education and resident development
- Strong clinical, communication, teaching, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary academic healthcare environment
