The successful Mechatronics Engineer will

- Develop actuator solutions for marine drive applications ranging from basic hydraulic to full electromechanical components

- Participate in a fast-paced multi-disciplinary design   and lab   environment

- Bridge the gap between Electrical and Mechanical core competencies

- Help   maintain   Brunswick’s current actuator portfolio while incorporating emerging technology into   new designs

Key responsibilities

- Utilize a systems engineering approach to create cohesive designs for   future   actuators that incorporate   VOC

- Develop/guide   technicians with test   execution from start to completion   in a detailed fashion

- Become a resource for   mechanical and   electrical troubleshooting   with   existing   and new actuator products

- Utilize and contribute to   the   data-based   engineering community at Brunswick

- Participate in   DFMEA activities for   existing product improvement opportunities or   new actuator products

- Participate   in quality improvement projects

Required Experience/Skills

- 3-5 years of experience in a product development related role

- Bachelor’s degree in   mechanical ,   electrical, robotic s   engineering   or closely related field

- Strong   working knowledge of control systems, sensors, power electronics, brushed and brushless motors

- Data Acquisition and test design

- Strong   technical   background and   great communication   skills

- Experience leading or   participating   in DFMEA based design methods

- Experience interacting with procurement and quality teams th roughout  the product development cycle

Preferred Experience/Skills

- 3-5   years   of   experience with Electrohydraulic   or   Electromechanical actuators   or Hydraulic Circuits

- Experience with seal and wear   component   design or manufacturing

- Experience   operating   a multi-function oscilloscope

- Interest   in the marine environment

- Interest in quality improvement
