Own an assigned client portfolio from onboarding through ongoing delivery. Partner with Controller/CFO leadership as you build the experience to take on broader responsibility.
What you’ll do
- Own client onboarding, status calls, delivery calendars, and retention across your portfolio.
- Review payroll and month-end close packages before release; explain cash positions, results, and trends.
- Perform and oversee reconciliations, journal entries, payroll, labor distribution, and job-cost reporting.
- Own indirect and provisional rates, incurred cost submissions, budgets, forecasts, and SF 1408 assessments in partnership with Controller/CFO leadership.
- Supervise and develop accountants, balance workloads, and improve delivery quality.
What you bring
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with government-contract exposure.
- Hands-on GAAP, FAR, DCAA, and CAS knowledge, including cost allowability and indirect rates.
- Experience owning client relationships or comparable business-unit accounting responsibilities, plus reviewing work and guiding staff.
- Experience with Unanet, QuickBooks, Deltek Costpoint, or a comparable accounting system.
- A bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent related experience.
- U.S. citizenship, as required by client contracts.
Prior success delivering accounting services in a consulting environment is strongly preferred. Unanet plus QuickBooks is especially valuable. CPA preferred, not required.
