Mechanical Technician

HRF Code: TISB/HRF/MECHANICAL TECHNICIAN

Education and Qualification:

- Minimum ISQ or NTEC or HNTEC in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

- Valid certification with relevant Competency and HSE trainings

- Proven capability in carrying out mechanical maintenance activities.

- Able to interpret Engineering drawing.

Experience:

- Minimum 4 years' working experience   in similar position or Junior Mechanical Technician within oil and gas and construction industry.

Communication Skill:

- Good command of English (both spoken and written).

Roles and Responsibilities:

- Responsible for maintenance, troubleshooting, repair and overhaul of mechanical systems or required equipment to job site.

- To support the Senior mechanical technicians

- Carry out mechanical maintenance work under supervision e.g. bolting activities, taking measurements

- Carry out basic repair valves in situ eg packing

- Carry out basic cleaning with mechanical tools eg, scrappers, rags, to clean surfaces

- Carry out Housekeeping

- Carry out mechanical work using pneumatic driven tools eg torque wrenches for flange make up

- Carry out pressure testing on piping spools / exchangers etc.

- Carry out PVC piping repair

- Operate BLNG approved pneumatic/diesel equipment eg. air compressors

- Carry out minor flange repair eg. belzona
