## Project Overview:
The Ar Rjum Project comprises a green field gold project with three open pit mining operations with associated waste dumps and ore stockpile, a processing plant, tailings management facilities, and supporting infrastructure including water supply, power supply, maintenance facilities, offices, temporary and permanent accommodation village.
The Project is situated within the Central Arabian Gold Region, approximately 200 km north-east of Taif towards Riyadh and about 26 km South of Al Mouwayh, which is a small town situated on the Jeddah - Riyadh highway.
## Job Summary:
The Senior ESH Specialist supports the implementation of ESH management programs, systems and processes; provides the technical oversight of the environment, safety and health activities; and provides the overall support for a specific area to be successful in controlling the risk of harm to people, property and the environment, incident notification processes, investigation requirements, corrective action tracking, and lessons learned across the project.
## Major Responsibilities:
- Coordinate incident notification, initial response, classification support, investigation planning, evidence collection, root cause analysis, corrective action development, and final report preparation.
- Lead or participate in incident investigations based on actual and potential severity, ensuring investigation scope, team composition, evidence control, confidentiality, and reporting timelines are maintained.
- Assist supervisors and construction teams in securing incident scenes, preserving evidence, identifying witnesses, collecting statements, and maintaining factual investigation records.
- Prepare clear and accurate incident investigation reports, flash reports, lessons learned, safety alerts, and management briefings.
- Track corrective and preventive actions to completion, verify field implementation, and confirm effectiveness before closure.
- Maintain incident, observation, audit, assessment, and corrective action records in IRIS.
- Support trend analysis of incident data, leading indicators, root causes, and corrective actions to identify improvement opportunities.
- Monitors the implementation of the ESH program and reports successes and areas of improvement
- Promote open reporting of incidents, near misses, unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and improvement opportunities without blame or retaliation.
- Identifies best practices for implementation
- Maintains a working relationship with client representatives, leaders and other ESH team members
- Participates in area leader meetings to identify and report on ESH requirements
- Assist in the development and delivery of incident investigation awareness, ESH training, and lessons learned communication.
- Supervises and maintains a team that provides in-field ESH support to all construction areas
- Participate in ESH meetings, incident review boards, toolbox talks, stand-downs, emergency drills, and workforce engagement activities.
- Provide technical ESH guidance to construction supervisors, contractors, and workers on safe work practices, regulatory requirements, project procedures, and incident prevention.
## Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor degree or higher in an ESH discipline
- NEBOSH Certification
- 6-8 years of ESH experience in the industrial construction or heavy engineering industry.
- 2+ years of experience directly supervising a team of 3 to 4 ESH professionals
- 2+ years of ESH experience in a complex work environment
- Incident investigation, preparing report.

- Leadership skills to enable a team to be successful - coach, mentor, participate.

- Professional skill set to deliver quality outputs of an ESH program
- High level of written and verbal communication, including the ability to brief project leadership and communicate lessons learned to the workforce.

- Ability to conduct interviews, collect evidence, analyze facts, and prepare concise technical reports.
