Job Description – CAD Draftsman
Division: Hydro & Dams
Location: Gurgaon
Function: Engineering / Project Support
Role Purpose
To provide CAD drafting and drawing support for Hydro & Dam projects, ensuring accurate, timely, and quality preparation of engineering drawings in coordination with design and project teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, modify, and update engineering drawings using AutoCAD.
- Develop plans, sections, elevations, layouts, and detailed drawings based on engineering inputs.
- Incorporate design changes, comments, and revisions into drawings.
- Coordinate with design engineers and multidisciplinary teams for drawing requirements.
- Ensure drawings comply with project standards, CAD standards, and drafting procedures.
- Maintain proper drawing files, revisions, and documentation.
- Support preparation of tender, IFC, construction, and as-built drawings.
- Ensure timely submission of drawings as per project schedules.
Qualification & Experience
- Diploma / ITI / equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering or Drafting.
- 3–8 years of relevant experience , preferably in Hydro, Dam, Water Resources, or Infrastructure projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD ; knowledge of Civil 3D or other relevant software will be an advantage.
- Good understanding of engineering drawings, layouts, sections, and detailing.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with engineers and project teams.
