About this role

The Technical Trainer position requires someone with exceptional ability to deliver learning solutions within their region. The Tesla Technical Trainer will take responsibility for ensuring their Service region is equipped to deliver the best ownership experience the world has ever seen for every Tesla owner. Key responsibilities include facilitating hands-on New Hire and Continuous technical training, mentoring and supporting a network of coaches, and partnering closely with local Service Managers to train for skill gaps and elevate the performance of their teams.
This individual must be creative, proactive, organized, flexible, results-oriented, and have a passion for and understanding of electric vehicles. Must have outstanding communication, facilitation, and organizational skills while demonstrating a positive and professional demeanor.

- Facilitate New Hire, Traineeship, Apprenticeship and Continuous instructor-led and virtual technical training on electric vehicles equipped with complex automotive and electromechanical systems to enable employees to perform their role safely and to Tesla’s standards
- Maintain expert knowledge of the most current product details, systems, methods, techniques, and best practices for Tesla electric vehicles
- Support the Content Development team with creating, revising, and reviewing training materials, and assist local apprentice programs by delivering training, mentoring, and material review as needed
- Partner with Managers and Coaches to identify and address skill gaps through targeted employee training
- Serve, coach, and mentor a network of Service Coaches to enhance capabilities and drive continuous process improvement
- Support and manage local projects with minimal guidance, while sharing best practices with Technical Training peers and supporting cross-training/upskilling of peer trainers
- Provide support and coaching to Technicians in their Service Center to foster skill development and performance

- Fluency in English and French is required. Dutch and German language skills would be an added advantage
- Strong automotive system diagnosis and repair knowledge, preferably including electric vehicles
- Strong facilitation, coaching, stakeholder management, and interpersonal communication skills required
- Proactive, flexible, confident, professional, and self-directed in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to travel at least 60% of the time, with a valid Driver’s License and a valid passport
- Tech savvy – able to expertly use a full suite of office and learning technologies; experience with environmental and safety requirements a plus
