We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Mortgage Servicing Manager to join our team in Savannah, Georgia. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced mortgage professional who can bring strong lending knowledge, leadership experience and a commitment to regulatory compliance to a growing operation.

The ideal candidate will have a proven background as a licensed Mortgage Loan Officer , mortgage processor, underwriter, manager instructor, or similar mortgage professional. We are particularly interested in candidates who can contribute beyond simply providing lending credentials and who have the leadership and operational experience to help build and support the mortgage servicing function.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide leadership and oversight within mortgage lending and servicing operations.

- Supervise, support and provide guidance to mortgage originators and team members.

- Apply mortgage lending and servicing knowledge to support operational and business objectives.

- Help ensure lending and servicing activities are conducted in accordance with applicable licensing and regulatory requirements.

- Support the development and implementation of processes, procedures and best practices.

- Provide guidance and training to mortgages professionals and needed.

- Monitor activity and provide appropriate oversight to ensure quality, accuracy and compliance.

- Collaborate with leadership internal teams to support the growth and effectiveness of the mortgage operation.

- Serve as a knowledgeable resource for mortgage lending and servicing questions and processes.

CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS

- Have experience working as an independent contractor on a part-time basis and/ or have contact center experience.

- Have demonstrated leadership potential and the ability to grow into a management role.

- Can contribute operational, coaching and leadership skills in addition to their mortgage lending credentials.

- Are comfortable working in a regulated environment where accuracy, integrity and compliance are essential.

- Are confident communicating with employees, leadership and stakeholders.

- Are adaptable, dependable and able to work independently while supporting a team

- Have a strong understanding of mortgage lending and services processes.

Candidates must meet one of the following experience requirements:

- 3 years of experience as a licensed Mortgage Loan Officer in any state within the last 5 years with at least 45 loans closed; OR

- 2 years of experience as a licensed Mortgage Loan Officer within the last 5 years with at least 30 loans closed; along with additional experienced as a mortgage processor, underwriter, manager or instructor; OR

- 10 years of experience within the last 12 years managing or supervising at least 5 mortgage originators, along with at least 15 loans closed within the past 5 years.

Additional requirements include:

- Must be at least 18 years old.

- Must never have had a prior mortgage loan originator or mortgage servicer license revoked.

- Must not have a felony convicting, guilty plea or no contest plea within the past 7 years, or at any time if related to fraud, dishonesty, breach of trust or money laundering.

- Must live near Savannah, Georgia or be willing to relocate.

- Must be bonded or bondable.

- Must be willing and able to complete all required licensing, background, fingerprinting, credit, and educational requirements.

- Must be able to work onsite Monday through Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 pm EDT.

Licensing Requirements:

A Georgia Mortgage loan originator (MLO) License is preferred but not required to start. Candidates who do not already hold the required license must be willing to obtain it immediately upon starting.

Licensing status requirements may include:

- Completion of the required 20-hour NMLS pre-licensing education , including federal law, ethic and non-traditional mortgage products coursework.

- Passing the NMLS written examinations with a minimum score of 75%.

- Completion of NMLS fingerprinting.

- Submission of applicable administrative, civil and criminal history.

- Submission of a credit report.

- Completion of 40 hours of Utah-specific pre-licensing education .

- Passing the Utah Lending Manager license examination.

- Obtain the required Georgia Mortgage Loan Originator license.

- Completion of 8 hours of continuing education annually .

Candidates will be expected to maintain all required licenses and meet applicable regulatory requirements throughout their employment .

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This job operates in a professional office environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be largely sedentary and will be required to sit/stand for long periods while using a computer and telephone headset. The employee will be regularly required to operate a computer and other office equipment, including a phone, copier, and printer. The employee may occasionally be required to move about the office to accomplish tasks; reach in any direction; raise or lower objects, move objects from place to place, hold onto objects, and move or exert force up to forty (40) pounds.
