About this role

Competences requirements

- Knowledge / Qualifications

- Bachelor degree of engineering, or equivalent

- Previous Experience (If relevant)

- More than 10 years of PCB layout experience with proven experience in successfully mass-production product in the automotive lighting or related field

- Proficient in the entire design flow for High-speed/high power/High -density PCBs with at least above 6 layer PCB layout experience.

- With SI/PI tool simulation experience as plus

- Key technical competencies

- Expertise in layout and routing for power, digital and analog circuit, with high-speed signal(LVDS, GSML) experience is preferred

- Proficiency in PCB layout tools – Altium or main EDA tools.

- Expert in properties, selection and failure modes of Matel core , FR4 and ceramic/copper-filled material , rigid-flex material. Able to interpret key parameters: Tg, CTE(Z-axis), CTI, thermal conductivity, etc.

- Deeply understanding the reliability differences among surface finish processes(ENIG, HASL-LF, IM-TIN) in automotive environment.

- Deep understanding PCB fabrication processes and cost effect

- Able to establish stricter internal acceptance criteria based on IPC standards. Proficient in DFM/FDA rule creation.

- Experienced EMC design on PCB layout

- Expertise on PCB material - FR4, Metal-core PCB, and know well on IPC610A and IPC600A

- Good Knowledge PCBA Manufacturing Process

- PCB technology & supplier database setup & maintanace updates

- Secure Project PCB specification design and PCB layout design in best combination of Cost, Quality & Delivery

- Create PCB Design Guideline, Checklist and related documents to guide and assess project design quality

- Provide mentor / on-job training to application PCB engineers to share knowhow and improve competence

- KPI and/or main deliverables

- Database for PCB technology & supplier

- PCB Design Guideline and Checklist

- Training material

- Project PCB design review report to avoid repeating same already known issues and regular follow-up until completely close

- Proven saving in project per Hours or Test Costs
