On behalf of ONS , we are looking for a Four QA Testers (INSIDE IR35) for 3 Month contracts based Hybrid in either Newport or Titchfield office.
The Office for National Statistics (ONS) is the UK’s largest producer of official statistics, covering a range of key economic, social and demographic topics. These include measuring changes in the value of the UK economy, estimating the size, geographic distribution and characteristics of the population, and providing indicators of price inflation, employment, earnings, crime and migration.
As a QA Tester, your main responsibilities will be:
- Support a team in developing and testing service functions
- Develop and implement new processes
- Bolster the operational management team in developing and improving the live service by creating visibility, communication channels and lines of escalation for ‘the’ live service (issues, incidents, MI, risks, comms)
- To support in the creation and testing of agile development of cross cutting processes like incident management , change management , comms.
- To champion an assurance function to deliver operational readiness of new / changed functionality and support facilitation acceptance into service decision making forums.
- Assist the team with any issue(s) escalated providing operational guidance to direct their resolution.
- Liaise with stakeholders to identify training needs and provide necessary structure to share learning across the live service teams.

- Previous public sector experience
