About this role
Responsible for reviewing echo study procedural billing is correct; echo ordered, completed and billed are in alignment. Assists with Echo Lab scheduling-assigns sonographers daily work list.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Ensures echo procedure performed and billed agree.
- Obtains all pertinent patient information to schedule inpatient and outpatient procedures accurately.
- Ensures electronic orders/script are complete and appropriate; diagnosis codes are included.
- Maintains a professional attitude and exhibits proper, professional phone etiquette. Organized, legible handwriting. Excellent communication skills a must.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required:
Associates, High School Diploma, or GED equivalent preferred
Certified Biller/Code
- Previous EPIC experience preferred
- Previous medical experience preferred
- Strong computer skills & previous customer service skills
Strong knowledge of medical terminology
