Senior HVAC Service Technician
Location: Winston-Salem, NC
Job Type: Full-Time | Year-Round | Commercial & Industrial HVAC
The Senior Service Technician is responsible for safely and successfully maintaining and servicing industrial heating and air conditioning systems . This is a hands-on field role requiring strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering excellent service.
Typical Duties
- Maintain, repair, and troubleshoot commercial and industrial HVAC systems
- Diagnose issues and repair to the electronic control board level
- Replace faulty breakers, controls, thermostats, switches, fuses, and wiring
- Repair and maintain motors, compressors, pumps, fans, and blowers
- Record and track pressure, temperature, airflow, and humidity data
- Ensure adherence to safety standards and maintain current certifications
- Work on refrigeration and water systems (experience a plus)
Qualifications
- EPA Certification for refrigerant handling (required)
- Minimum 4 years of experience servicing industrial HVAC systems
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and instructions
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities under pressure
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record (required to operate company vehicle)
- Availability to work on-call, after-hours, and weekends as needed
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and professionally
Physical Requirements
- Stand/walk up to 8 hours daily
- Lift, push, or pull up to 75 pounds and carry short distances
- Stoop, crawl, crouch, twist, bend, kneel, and work in confined spaces
- Climb ladders and work on rooftops or above ceilings
- Work in outdoor environments year-round
