Position Type: Non-Exempt
Reports to (Position Title): Production Supervisor
Responsibilities
Learn and execute elements of safe assembly practices involving 2″–36″ assembly, to include OGS as well as AGS
Perform in-process inspections including dimensional, orientation, and part; perform additional inspections pertaining to product specification if needed
Maintain records of inspections and results, if applicable. Verify finished products meet or exceed customer standards
Verify tools are in safe working condition and that calibration is up to date
Properly maintain and care for all assigned equipment
Know and understand how to properly navigate Medix per job/spool
Complete all daily checklists and TPMs
Ensure all area 5S duties are completed
Communicate and interact with Line Leads, shift supervisors, the operations manager, and engineering on issues or discrepancies found between drawings/model and BOM
Participate in team meetings and continuous improvement initiatives
Perform bundling functions on assembled parts as required
Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills, Personal Attributes)
High School Diploma
Experience in a manufacturing/assembly environment is preferred
Computer literacy of Microsoft Windows software is preferred
Familiarity with SWI/SOP processes
Good understanding of shop math (fraction to decimal) and ability to read a tape measure and measuring tools (caliper, micrometer, vernier scale) required
Ability to read and interpret drawings and blueprints desired
Good written and oral communication skills required
Good problem-solving capabilities desired
Must be able to work independently and efficiently, and be self-motivated and detail oriented
Once signed off by the Line Lead/Trainer, independent assembly can take place.
