Role Summary

The Business Development Associate will support the growth of The Conduit’s impact partnerships across industries. Working closely with the Impact Partnerships team, the role will identify and research prospective partners, manage pipeline activity and CRM data, support outreach and pitches, and coordinate the processes that move opportunities from prospecting through to close.

Key Responsibilities

- Research and identify prospective partner organisations across priority sectors, qualifying opportunities against The Conduit’s Solutions Agenda and partnership priorities.

- Build and maintain prospecting lists and support targeted outreach using relevant research and sales tools.

- Manage day-to-day CRM and pipeline administration, ensuring opportunities, contacts, follow-ups and reporting are accurate and up to date.

- Prepare prospect profiles, briefing documents and background research ahead of meetings and pitches.

- Support the creation of partner-specific proposals, pitch decks, presentations, case studies and recap materials.

- Coordinate prospect and partner communications, including meeting scheduling, follow-ups and correspondence.

- Support weekly reporting on pipeline progress, revenue targets and business development KPIs.

- Work collaboratively with Programming, Events, Marketing and other internal teams to support partner opportunities and delivery.

- Support partner onboarding and administration, including contact management and coordination with Finance where required.

- Monitor relevant market, sustainability and impact trends and share useful insights with the team.

- Support the full business development cycle, from initial prospect identification and qualification through to outreach, pitch preparation, follow-up and contracting, ensuring opportunities continue to progress through the pipeline.

- Develop a strong understanding of prospective partners’ business priorities, sustainability commitments and impact objectives, using this insight to identify areas of alignment with The Conduit’s Solutions Agenda and partnership offering.

- Contribute to business development planning and prospecting strategy, identifying priority sectors, organisations and emerging opportunities that could generate new partnership revenue.

- Build and nurture relationships with prospective partners, acting as a professional point of contact and supporting the Business Development Leads in developing opportunities into long-term partnerships.

- Support on partnership delivery as needed working on invitation deployment and audience development for partnerships and conferences.

Skills & Experience

- 1–3 years’ experience in business development, sales, partnerships or a related commercial role.

- Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to identify, assess and qualify opportunities.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence tailoring communications for different audiences.

- Experience using CRM systems and working with pipeline or reporting data; HubSpot experience is advantageous.

- Strong Microsoft 365 skills, particularly PowerPoint, Excel and Word.

- Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
