Join us at Christian Brothers Services, where our mission is to support and serve the Catholic Church and its ministries across the nation. Our Risk Solutions division has a full-time opening for an Underwriting Analyst. In this role, youll review applications and renewals, analyze risk information, calculate rates, prepare quotes, and review claims reports. Youll work closely with the Director of Underwriting and other teams to help ensure information is accurate and members receive timely service. Salary range: $60,000 to $70,000 annually
Position type: Full-time, non-exempt

Key Responsibilities

- Review applications, renewals, and coverage change requests, and analyze the risk characteristics of each.

- Apply underwriting guidelines and authority limits to support decisions about coverage, premiums, and risk mitigation. Calculate renewal rates as needed.

- Prepare quotes, marketing materials, and correspondence for prospective members, and follow up on outstanding quotes.

- Maintain new business records, worksheets, and documents.

- Help prepare information for annual program renewals and coordinate materials for brokers, excess carriers, and the actuary.

- Review and reconcile claims reports, maintain related records, and prepare payment information for Finance when members need to be invoiced for claims paid from their loss funds.

- Respond to requests for special claims reports and assist with the Self Insured Auto Program.

Qualifications

Qualifications

- A college degree or at least five years of experience in insurance.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Skills

- Strong math, analytical, and data accuracy skills.

- Clear written and verbal communication.

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and collaborate with others.
