About this role

## Your mission
We’re looking for a hands-on, proactive Service Technician to partner with our customers, delivering high-quality after-sales technical support, preventive maintenance and system optimisations across our global customer installations. Combining electromechanical expertise with a customer-first mindset, you’ll split your time between remote issue resolution and international field site visits. Working closely with our Projects and Engineering teams, you will ensure maximum system uptime, proactive health management and top-tier client satisfaction worldwide.

Main areas of responsibility include:

- Customer Support & On-Site Servicing:  Travel to international client sites to train our customers, understand their needs, execute preventive maintenance, perform quality control checks, replace components and deploy hardware/software updates.
- Remote Diagnostics & Issue Resolution:  Provide rapid diagnostic and issue resolution support for control systems, hardware and user interfaces, helping global clients optimise system performance.
- Cross-Functional & Project Collaboration:  Work hand-in-hand with customer IT/technical leads as well as internal Phenospex teams (Sales, Application Support, and R&D). Provide feedback to Project Managers for long-term issue resolution and direct mitigation steps.
- Ticket Resolution & Feedback:  Own the domain-specific technical tickets, logging activity in our CRM/ticketing systems and submitting resolution reports back to Application Support while channeling feedback into product improvements. Communicate resolution outcomes to our customers clearly and promptly.
- Safety & Compliance:  Maintain a safe, compliant work environment by strictly adhering to health and safety regulations in both our home workshop and on customer sites.

## Your profile
As a proactive and accountable field technician, you’re a natural service partner with a customer first mentality. Thriving on variety, you’re equally comfortable diving into electrical schematics in the workshop as you are solving complex technical issues at a client site abroad. You’re an independent self-starter who communicates with clarity, stays organised under travel demands and takes pride in keeping our cutting-edge technology performing at its best.

You also bring:

- Educational Background:  A vocational technical degree (MBO / Associate degree / HNC) or Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Automation or equivalent practical field experience.
- Hands-on Experience:  Practical experience in field service, technical support or electromechanical maintenance (preferably with complex automated equipment or sensor systems).
- Technical Core:  Can diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical or software‑ related issues using defined procedures. Understanding of agricultural/phenotyping technologies is a plus.
- Customer focus & communication:   Genuine interest in customer success, patient, empathetic and solutions-oriented. Full professional proficiency in English.
- Mobility: A valid driver’s license and full flexibility/capability to travel internationally (~50% travel commitment). If you require sponsorship to work in the EU, please indicate this in your application.
