Patient Care Technician – Stepdown Unit (Evening/nights - PRN) | Gateway Campus

As a Patient Care Technician, you'll work alongside experienced nurses caring for patients who require close monitoring and advanced medical support. You'll play a hands-on role by assisting with daily care, monitoring vital signs, documenting patient information, and providing compassionate support during some of life's most critical moments.
Our 16-bed Stepdown Unit cares for complex medical-surgical, cardiac, stroke, and sepsis patients while serving as the central monitoring hub for Gateway Hospital and The Heart Hospital. With a strong culture of teamwork, continuous learning, and specialized training, this is an excellent opportunity to build valuable clinical experience and make a real impact every day.
Qualifications:
- BLS (Healthcare Provider) certification within 6 months of hire
- High school diploma or GED preferred
