Industrial Maintenance Technician
Shift/Hours: Monday - Friday, start time flexible, 7am to 3:30pm (overtime as needed)
Pay Rate: $22 to $28/hr (depending on experience)
Location: Dayton, Ohio 45377
Experience: Ideally, you have 1–3 years of maintenance experience or 3–6 years of operating injection molding equipment.
About the Opportunity
PrideStaff has partnered with a leading local manufacturer in the plastics and preform injection molding industry to find a skilled Maintenance Technician .
If you are a hands-on mechanical and electrical troubleshooter with experience in high-speed manufacturing or injection molding environments, we want to hear from you! You will play a pivotal role in maintaining state-of-the-art tooling, auxiliary systems, and production machinery to ensure top-quality output and minimal downtime.
Key Responsibilities
Equipment & Utility Care: Perform daily inspections, routine maintenance, and preventive maintenance (PM) checklists on injection molding equipment, auxiliary systems, and plant utilities.
Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues to perform quick, efficient repairs on breakdowns.
Installations & Upgrades: Assist with the installation of new manufacturing equipment, working alongside external service technicians and contractors as required.
Tooling & Mold Support: Assist with mold, tooling, and insert changes to support production schedules.
Documentation & Safety: Complete work orders and keep clear records of all repair activities while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Qualifications & Skills
Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; technical degree or relevant certifications preferred.
Experience:
1–3+ years of industrial maintenance experience preferred.
3–6 years of hands-on experience starting or operating injection molding equipment preferred.
Technical Abilities:
Strong ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
Analytical mindset with proven troubleshooting and reasoning skills.
Certified or experienced in operating forklifts and aerial lifts.
Excellent practical math skills and close attention to detail.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to perform physically demanding tasks, including regularly lifting 50+ lbs.
Able to work in an active manufacturing environment requiring standard PPE (e.g., safety glasses, hair nets).
