Who We Are
Boston Consulting Group partners with leaders in business and society to tackle their most important challenges and capture their greatest opportunities. BCG was the pioneer in business strategy when it was founded in 1963. Today, we help clients with total transformation-inspiring complex change, enabling organizations to grow, building competitive advantage, and driving bottom-line impact.
To succeed, organizations must blend digital and human capabilities. Our diverse, global teams bring deep industry and functional expertise and a range of perspectives to spark change. BCG delivers solutions through leading-edge management consulting along with technology and design, corporate and digital ventures—and business purpose. We work in a uniquely collaborative model across the firm and throughout all levels of the client organization, generating results that allow our clients to thrive.
What You'll Do
As a Manager - BCG Vantage on the Topic Activation path, jointly aligned to BCG's Consumer and Operations Practice Areas, you will be a senior content expert in AI-enabled Consumer Products Operations (CPG Ops), combining deep end-to-end supply chain expertise with practical AI transformation experience. The role will focus on helping BCG teams and clients identify, shape and deliver AI-enabled transformation across the CPG value chain. You will bring strong CPG Ops expertise alongside practical understanding of AI, advanced analytics, GenAI and emerging agentic approaches, translating operational challenges into high-value solutions that can be implemented and scaled.
You will partner with case and proposal teams across the AI transformation journey - from diagnosing operational value pools and prioritizing use cases, through business case and solution design, data and technology requirements and implementation roadmaps, to process redesign, adoption, scaling and value realization. You will serve as a thought partner to senior stakeholders, linking AI directly to measurable operational outcomes.
You will also lead development of CPG Ops AI intellectual property and knowledge assets, including diagnostics, benchmarks, use-case libraries, tools and reusable client materials. You will contribute to commercialization through proposals, client workshops and go-to-market efforts, and may coach and line-manage junior colleagues, supporting their development and delivery.
We are looking for a CPG Ops leader for whom digital and AI-enabled transformation has been a substantial part of recent experience, not simply an adjacent capability. The candidate should combine deep supply chain expertise with a strong track record of shaping and implementing AI-enabled Operations solutions. Relevant CPG Ops depth may include supply chain strategy and operating model, planning, inventory optimization, network and logistics, manufacturing, cost and productivity, and end-to-end transformation. AI experience should extend beyond strategy or experimentation to delivery in real operational environments - for example advanced analytics and predictive AI, GenAI, copilots or agentic workflows. Experience conducting CPG supply chain benchmarks - including KPI definition, peer selection, data normalization, performance gap assessment and translation into improvement levers - is an added advantage.
YOU'RE GOOD AT
- Identifying and solving complex CPG Ops challenges, with a strong ability to determine where AI can unlock material operational and business value
- Shaping AI-enabled Operations transformation agendas - identifying value pools, prioritizing use cases and connecting them to supply chain and broader CPG business priorities
- Translating AI opportunities into robust business cases, solution requirements, data and technology implications, implementation roadmaps, process redesign, adoption plans and measurable value-realization approaches
- Acting as a credible thought partner to senior case-team and client stakeholders, bridging CPG Ops expertise with AI, data and technology considerations and working effectively with multidisciplinary teams
- Building and codifying CPG Ops AI knowledge and assets, including diagnostic frameworks, benchmarks, use-case libraries, playbooks, tools and reusable client materials
- Managing a portfolio of case support and business-building activities, shaping proposals and client workshops and identifying opportunities to scale AI-enabled CPG Ops support across Consumer and Operations
- Training, coaching and mentoring junior colleagues, including structuring work, providing feedback and building capability across CPG Ops and AI-enabled transformation topics
- Working effectively in a global matrix organization, navigating ambiguity and fast-moving technology developments while maintaining a strong focus on practical client impact
What You'll Bring
- 3+ years of consulting experience in Consumer Products Operations, supply chain or operations transformation, with a strong focus on digital/AI-enabled transformation; strong consulting experience is preferred
- In lieu of consulting experience, 6+ years of industry experience strongly preferred, ideally in a CPG Ops, supply chain or digital transformation role
- Deep hands-on expertise in CPG Ops and end-to-end supply chain is required, with experience in areas such as planning, inventory, network/logistics, manufacturing, cost/productivity, operating model or broader supply chain transformation
- Strong track record of shaping and implementing AI-enabled Operations initiatives - from value-pool identification and use-case prioritization through solution design, pilot/deployment, process integration, adoption, scaling and value tracking
- Working knowledge of AI and advanced analytics applied to Operations, including exposure to predictive AI, GenAI and/or agentic approaches, and the ability to translate business needs into data and technology requirements and collaborate effectively with data science, engineering and technology teams
- Strong understanding of CPG supply chain performance drivers and KPIs; hands-on experience conducting supply chain benchmarks, including peer selection, metric normalization, gap-to-value analysis and identification of improvement levers, is an added advantage
- Bachelor's Degree required (advanced degree preferred), with excellent hypothesis-driven problem-solving and quantitative skills, fluency in English and outstanding written and verbal communication skills for influencing internal and external stakeholders in a global collaborative environment

As a manager – BCG Vantage on our Topic Activation path, you will collaborate with global Consumer Products and Operations topic leads, BCG case teams, AI and digital experts, and colleagues across Vantage to bring deep CPG Ops and AI-enabled transformation expertise to the service of our internal and external clients.
