Reporting to the General Manager with - dotted line responsibilities to Corporate Engineering, the Facility Maintenance Manager is responsible for all facility maintenance, facility maintenance personnel, maintenance administration and documentation of and for the machinery, equipment and buildings. Ensures all maintenance activities in the assigned facilities are performed in compliance with Sterigenics’ quality system requirements, Sterigenics Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) system and in compliance with Sterigenics’ EH&S programs.
Responsibilities
- General and Preventative Maintenance
- Oversees that routine preventative maintenance is performed and documented on all system machinery according to the Sterigenics Monthly Preventative Maintenance Reports
- Maintains all records pertaining to maintenance within quality system requirements at all locations and that the EAM system is maintained and up to date at all times.
- Coordinates preventative maintenance on forklifts and other specialized equipment not detailed in the PM program.
- Verifies that all equipment is clean without impeding normal operation.
- Monitors spare parts as defined by Engineering and tool inventory to maintain appropriate stock levels
- Monitors the progress of work orders completed by Managers and/or Shift Supervisors and ensures that all copies are filed with the Preventative Maintenance Reports
- Maintains a 24-hour on-call status to assist with required troubleshooting.
- Troubleshoots issues with plant personnel prior to contacting Corporate Engineering
- Acts as Liaison between Corporate Engineering and the General Manager on various facility improvement projects.
Safety
- Ensures that all work is completed per standards as detailed in facility work instructions and company EH&S standards.
- Participates as necessary in facility safety programs to aid the facilities safety compliance.
- Ensures that contractors performing work in the facilities meet the minimum requirements of Sterigenics’ EH&S program.
General
- Assists with special projects as directed by the General Manager(s) and Corporate Engineering.
- Ensures vendor lists are maintained current.
- Completes an annual evaluation of the Maintenance program of facility.
Supervision
- Directs or leads the activities of Maintenance Technician(s) and/or designated individuals at the facilities to ensure general and preventative maintenance and applicable Corporate Engineering projects are planned and completed on schedule and within budget.
- Directs or leads the contractors as required by the scope of projects at the facility and other regional facilities as needed to ensure general and preventative maintenance and applicable Corporate Engineering projects are planned and completed on schedule and within budget.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum five (5) years maintenance experience with two (2) years in a supervisory/managerial capacity.
- Solid communications skills – listening, written, verbal, presentation, etc.
- Computerized Maintenance Management Software.
- Microsoft Office Proficient.
- Ability to read and understand engineering schematics.
Training and additional Requirements
- Must complete all required training for a “Maintenance Manager / Supervisor / Technician” as outlined in the training manual.
- This position requires unescorted access to areas containing radioactive material regulated by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission. As a condition of continued employment, the employee must successfully complete and continuously maintain all requirements of the Company's Trustworthiness and Reliability (T&R) Program, established pursuant to U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission regulations (10 CFR Part 37). The T&R screening process includes, but is not limited to, an FBI criminal history records check (fingerprinting), background investigation, and any other assessments required by applicable NRC regulations or the Company's NRC license. The T&R screening will be initiated following hire and must be completed within the timeframe established by the Company. Continued employment is expressly conditioned upon obtaining and maintaining T&R approval for unescorted access. Failure to obtain or maintain T&R approval, including failure to pass any required screening or periodic reassessment, may result in termination of employment.
Benefits and Pay
Pay: $106,000–$171,500 annually, based on experience, qualifications, and skills.
