About this role
Wright-Pierce, an award-winning, multi-discipline environmental engineering firm specializing in water, wastewater and civil infrastructure, is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern to join our company for the Summer of 2027. The position entails a wide variety of challenging projects requiring unique and creative approaches.
Responsibilities
- Evaluation, design and construction engineering for water/wastewater treatment, civil infrastructure and industrial facilities including low to medium voltage power distribution systems, process control systems, lighting systems, fire alarm systems, security systems and communications systems
- Prepare technical writing including memoranda, letters, reports, specifications, and submittal reviews
- Proactively coordinate work with other design disciplines on multi-disciplinary projects to produce a fully coordinated set of bidding documents
- Develop construction cost estimates
- Perform site inspections for studies, design, and construction projects.
- Perform field visits to review contractor's work and resolve field related issues
- Perform field visits to observe contractor's demonstration testing of electrical gear
- Mentor and delegate to staff
- Monitor budget status for assigned projects

Education
- Pursuing a B.S. in Electrical Engineering
Experience
- The ideal candidate will be a Junior or Senior
- Students working toward a BS in Electrical Engineering
