About The Role
- 2-5 years of relevant experience.
- Responsible for the fabrication, assembly, installation and maintenance of electromechanical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic components to specification
- Provide collaboration in the implementation of new projects: offer advice in design, selection and order of parts
- Keep organized documentation pertaining to equipment specifications/manuals/files and repair documentation
- Comply with all safety policies and procedures and work to proactively promote a safe work environment
- Rigging, lifting and general moving of heavy and complex shaped objects
- Operate hand power tools
Physical Requirements:
- Climbing
- Operating heavy equipment
- Driving
- Lifting/carrying heavy items up to 50 lbs.
- Stooping/Bending
- Pushing/pulling/dragging heavy items
- Balancing in high places
- Standing for long periods of time
- Working in cramped places
- Working outside or underground
- Steel toed shoes required to work in the warehouse
About You
Education :
- Required: High school diploma or GED
- Preferred: AA degree in mechanical, electrical or industrial maintenance, or other recognized qualifications gained in apprenticeship(s) or college preferred
Technical Experience (Equipment, tools, etc.)
- Hands on experience in equipment maintenance and calibration
- Experience with crane and forklift operation
Other Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Available to work flexible and extended hours as needed
- Flexibility and ability to multi-task and/or switch rapidly between assigned tasks
- Ability to learn and comply with all safety regulations
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Ability to undertake self-development activities, seek increased responsibilities; ask for and offer help when needed
- Ability to take initiative to carry out assigned duties with general direction
- Ability to follow up and follow through with assigned tasks on a timely basis
- Ability to learn and comply with all safety regulations
- Ability and willingness to work in confined spaces using appropriate safety equipment
- Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds
