Job Title: Phlebotomist – Rockwall / Mesquite Job Description This onsite Phlebotomist role supports an oncology physician office, providing high-quality blood collection services for patients while floating between locations in Mesquite and Rockwall. You will play a key role in patient care by performing venipuncture and specimen collection in a professional, compassionate, and efficient manner during regular weekday hours. Responsibilities

- Perform venipuncture and blood draws accurately and safely for oncology patients.
- Collect, label, and handle specimens in accordance with established clinical protocols and quality standards.
- Provide attentive and respectful patient care throughout the blood collection process, ensuring comfort and clear communication.
- Float between the Mesquite and Rockwall offices as scheduled to support patient volume and clinical needs.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work area within the physician office setting.
- Follow all clinical procedures and guidelines for specimen collection, storage, and transfer.
- Document procedures and patient interactions as required by office policies.
- Collaborate with clinical staff to support smooth patient flow and timely specimen collection.

Essential Skills

- Proven experience performing phlebotomy procedures in a clinical setting.
- Strong venipuncture skills with the ability to collect blood specimens efficiently and safely.
- Demonstrated ability to manage specimen collection, labeling, and handling with high attention to detail.
- Experience providing direct patient care, with a focus on professionalism and empathy.
- Ability to work reliably across multiple locations, floating between Mesquite and Rockwall.
- Capability to follow clinical protocols and office procedures consistently.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

- Formal training or certification as a Phlebotomist.
- Experience working in a physician office or outpatient clinical environment.
- Experience supporting oncology or other specialty practices is beneficial.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and clinical staff.
- Reliable time management skills to work within set daily hours and maintain punctuality.

Work Environment This position is based onsite in an oncology physician office, working Monday through Friday from approximately 8:15 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. The role requires floating between the Mesquite and Rockwall locations as part of the regular schedule. You will work in a professional clinical environment that emphasizes patient care, collaboration with medical staff, and adherence to healthcare protocols. The setting is typical of a medical office, with standard clinical equipment used for phlebotomy and specimen handling, and professional attire is expected.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Rockwall, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $24.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
