Picker/Packer (1-6)

POSITION TITLE: Picker/Packer (1-6)

DEPARTMENT: Install- 1 st Shift

JOB TYPE: FULL-TIME, NON-EXEMPT

REPORTS TO: Nick Robinson / Paola Toral

FUNCTION:

Pull and pack hardware and components into bags, boxes, and pallets to ship out product for customer orders.

Responsibilities / Description of Duties:

- Pulling parts for orders

Scanning part and bin labels accurately for verification of parts

- Wrapping and packing parts for shipping purposes

- Reading paperwork/drawings for item and quantity

- Work toward department schedule

Picking orders in the sequence determined by group leader

- Maintain organization and accuracy of locations inside the department

Locations should be replenished

- Trash/plastic thrown away

- Delivery of finished product to the shipping department

- Read a tape measure

- Pick efficiency equal to or higher than average set by the team

- Occasional assembly of items

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS:

- Must be able to read and understand paperwork (part labels, locations, special instructions)

- Able to work quickly and efficiently to ensure accuracy of parts picked and put away

- Lift 50+ lbs repetitively from floor to shoulder height

- Able to take direction and work well with others

- Overtime – as needed during the week/Saturdays
