Experienced Collision Estimator – Washington, PA
Diehl Collision of Washington is hiring an experienced Collision Estimator to join our growing auto body and collision repair team in Washington, Pennsylvania.
We're looking for an organized, detail-oriented professional who understands the automotive collision repair process, damage estimating, insurance claims, customer communication, and repair documentation .
The ideal candidate can accurately assess vehicle damage, prepare thorough repair estimates, communicate effectively with customers and insurance companies, and work closely with technicians and parts personnel to keep repairs moving efficiently.

Collision Estimator Responsibilities
As a Collision Estimator at Diehl Collision of Washington, you will be an important point of contact between our customers, insurance companies, technicians, parts department, and collision center management.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Inspect damaged vehicles and identify collision-related repairs
- Write accurate and detailed auto body repair estimates
- Document visible vehicle damage and identify potential hidden damage
- Prepare estimates using industry-standard collision estimating software
- Review labor operations, replacement parts, repair procedures, paint, and materials
- Research and follow applicable OEM repair procedures
- Take and document vehicle damage photos
- Review insurance estimates for accuracy and completeness
- Communicate directly with insurance adjusters and claims representatives
- Prepare and submit supplements when additional damage is discovered
- Maintain accurate repair documentation throughout the repair process
- Communicate repair recommendations and expectations with customers
- Keep customers informed regarding repair progress
- Coordinate with body technicians, painters, parts personnel, and management
- Assist with maintaining efficient repair workflow and cycle times
- Monitor repair files and outstanding approvals
- Assist with vehicle check-in and delivery
- Deliver a professional and customer-focused collision repair experience
Collision Estimator Qualifications
We are seeking an experienced candidate with knowledge of collision repair, auto body estimating, insurance claims, repair procedures, and customer service .
Preferred qualifications include:
- Previous Collision Estimator or Auto Body Estimator experience
- Knowledge of automotive collision repair procedures
- Understanding of body labor, structural repairs, refinishing procedures, parts, and materials
- Experience working with automotive insurance companies and adjusters
- Experience writing and negotiating insurance supplements
- Strong computer and estimating software skills
- CCC ONE or similar collision estimating software experience preferred
- Familiarity with OEM repair procedures
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple repair files simultaneously
- Professional customer service skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced collision repair environment
- Valid driver's license
Experience as an Auto Body Estimator, Collision Estimator, Body Shop Estimator, Collision Service Advisor, Automotive Damage Appraiser, Insurance Adjuster, or Collision Repair Coordinator is highly relevant.
