Director, Regional Operations, Southwest

Our Las Vegas headquarters is home to our national customer service, accounting, and technology teams, along with our Network Operations Center (NOC), which provides Internet security services and remote 24/7 monitoring for all our networks.
Position Summary :
Manages all operational issues for multiple locations within the Southwest area. This includes labor, materials, cost control and asset management of all facilities for permanent tenants, shows, facility managers, and exhibitors in all fields of customer and clients. Responsible for leading, directing and delegating work, motivating, managing performance and employee relation issues, attendance issues, and providing career guidance to direct reports.
This role will be based full-time in the Las Vegas headquarters and reports to the Senior Vice President - West Operations & Industry Relations.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and provide leadership in all phases of operations for assigned accounts.
- Develop and monitor operations staff to meet internal and external customer needs and requirements.
- Develop and monitor operations to meet financial and operational performance targets.
- Develop and implement programs for continuous improvement and profit enhancement realization for assigned operations.
- Manage and, lead, and direct all aspects of operational concerns for facilities in his/her region.
- Interfaces with staff and clients resolving issues and directing staff to meet show time frames.
- Evaluate staff performance in a written format on a quarterly basis and coach staff providing constructive feedback.
- Control assets and expenses providing all company products and services to all clients.
- Provides direct management of team at primary facility and input and direction to GM at secondary accounts in the region.
- Frequently meet with facility and permanent tenant clients to arrange installation of show products and services to all clients.
- Relationship management is paramount in this role, must be able to cultivate and maintain strong relationships with the building, internal and external clients and show management.
- Addresses the long-range operational needs from a facilities management focus.
- Consider relationships with existing clients and interface of new products and services proposed for installation.
- Contributes to long-range operational organizational development including staffing development and mentoring at facilities.
- Regular and consistent attendance, particularly as a role model/leader.
- Good decision-making abilities/skill with little to no time for analysis.
- Excellent time management skills with emphasis on deadlines and displaying efficiencies.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, Network Engineering, Telecommunications, Business, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
Experience
- 10 - 15 years of increasing responsibility in telecommunications and tradeshow industry, with trend of increasing management responsibility.
- Demonstrated experience managing or supporting multi-site operations across geographically dispersed locations.
- Prior experience in a client-facing or account management capacity, with a record of maintaining strong service relationships in high-pressure environments.
- Experience leading, coaching, or developing field operations teams is strongly preferred.
- Internal candidates must currently be at the General Manager level at Smart City Networks.
- Hands-on, detail-oriented, team-oriented, self-directed individual.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, negotiating and problem-solving skills required.
- Proficiency in telecommunications and network products and services and basic and complex electrical services.
Technical Knowledge
- Working knowledge of enterprise Wi-Fi systems, wired LAN/WAN infrastructure, fiber optic cabling, and telecommunications technologies.
- Familiarity with network monitoring platforms, event management systems, and IT service management (ITSM) tools.
- Understanding of RF principles and wireless network design concepts is a plus.
- Proficiency with standard productivity and reporting tools (Microsoft Office 365, etc.).

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.

- Collaborative work style with the ability to build trust across cross-functional teams and diverse venue environments.
Other Requirements
- This role is based full-time in the Las Vegas headquarters with regular travel to other locations.
- Ability and willingness to travel frequently, including weekends, evenings, and holidays, in alignment with event schedules and operational demand.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs. as required in a venue or event floor environment.
