Mechanical Valve Technician
Compressed Shift 6: Wed, Thurs, Fri & E/O Sat 6PM to 6AM
$18-$21/hr + 4% added night shift Diff
Are you mechanically inclined with great attention to detail? Join a dynamic manufacturing team as a Mechanical Valve Technician ! This full-time role focuses on supporting the repair, maintenance, and calibration of essential mechanical components to keep production running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
Perform routine repair, preventative maintenance, and calibration on valves, proflo valves, ovens, and freezers used in manufacturing.
Proactively monitor component status to prevent production delays and ensure continuous workflow.
Work under the guidance of senior personnel while reporting to the site supervisor.
Safely operate basic hand tools and precision measuring instruments.
Maintain accurate records and track items using basic computer programs.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Experience: Prior hands-on experience repairing or maintaining mechanical subsystems; manufacturing experience is a plus.
Technical Skills: Proficiency with hand tools, measuring devices (e.g., micrometers), and basic PC skills (including Microsoft Excel).
Soft Skills: Strong communication skills, high reliability, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset. Must be fluent in English (speaking, reading, and writing).
Work Environment & Physical Demands
Comfort working in a temperature-controlled cleanroom environment, wearing required PPE (smocks, head covers, gloves, boots).
Ability to stand or work at a workbench for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $18.00 - $21.00 Per Hour
