Electronic Test Technician

Shift:  5th Shift | Sunday, Monday, Tuesday & every other Wednesday (6:00 AM – 6:00 PM)

Pay Rate: $23.00 – $26.00 / hour (DOE)

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Electronic Test Technician to join our team representing Yamaichi Electronics onsite at Intel. In this role, you will execute computer-controlled test procedures on specialized test boards, perform systematic troubleshooting, and collaborate directly with Intel engineering teams. The ideal candidate thrives in an independent, accountable environment, possesses solid computer literacy, and maintains strict adherence to cleanroom and workplace hygiene standards.

Key Responsibilities

Testing & Diagnostics: Operate computer-controlled test systems on specialized test boards; execute troubleshooting protocols to isolate and resolve technical issues.

Shift Handover: Utilize and maintain written passdown documentation to ensure seamless communication and workflow continuity across shifts.

Engineering Collaboration: Interface directly with Intel Engineering team members to report findings, clarify specifications, and resolve complex board issues.

Cleanroom Compliance: Adhere strictly to facility dress codes and hygiene standards, including wearing a smock and hairnet daily, and wearing a full cleanroom suit ("bunny suit") approximately 10% of the time.

Independent Execution: Work autonomously to complete daily test schedules while maintaining high personal accountability and quality standards.

Requirements & Qualifications

Experience / Education:

3+ years of experience in a similar electronic testing or cleanroom/manufacturing environment OR

Associate Degree in an industry-adjacent field (Electronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechatronics, etc.).

Technical Skills: Basic to intermediate PC skills required to operate test software and log passdown notes.

Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to articulate technical issues clearly to cross-functional teams.

Workplace Standards: Excellent personal hygiene and strict adherence to protocol, cleanroom standards, and personal accountability.

Soldering: Hands-on soldering skills are a strong plus , though not strictly required.

Structured OJT: Includes a comprehensive 3-week On-the-Job Training (OJT) program guided by a functional skills checklist to set you up for success.
