Description

The Manufacturing Material Handler is responsible for moving various materials during manufacturing operations.

Accountabilities

1. For transporting various materials and components to production suites during production operations.

2. For cleaning, housekeeping, and accurate logbook documentation in your areas of responsibility.

3. For following Good Documentation Practices in the execution of your tasks.

4. For your personal training records and for only undertaking tasks for which you are training and documented as competent.

Requirements

Essential Job Functions

· Assist in cleaning areas and equipment. Maintain hallway cleanliness and inventory of personal protective equipment (PPE) in an orderly manner.

· Obtain necessary components from warehouse personnel. Verify that the needed components are present and released for production use. Clean outer containers as appropriate.

· Ensure that all operations are carried out in accordance to Current Good Manufacturing Practices (CGMPs) and Standard Operating Procedures. Complete all documentation correctly and promptly.

· Stage components in appropriate areas for ease of handling. Place components as required to continue operations, using the oldest (FIFO) lots first where applicable.

· Ensure that products leaving the department are stored in the proper containers and that all materials are properly labeled and returned to the appropriate area.

· Assist in ensuring 100% accountability for components, products, and labeling materials.

· Assist the Team Leaders and Manufacturing Manager in other areas as directed.

Education and Qualifications

· High School diploma or equivalent.

· Good math and counting skills.

· Fluency in the English language is required.

· Prior forklift operation is a plus.
