About the role:
The Shift Supervisor is a front-line leader that directly oversees and coordinates the delivery of quality services within their assigned GSOC team. The Shift Supervisor monitors and manages the performance and actions of GSOC Specialists and Operators. They are a subject matter expert, with significant experience as an operator. They act as a liaison between the GSOC management and analysts/operators. They provide coaching, recognition, and discipline within their assigned team.
In this role, your responsibilities will be:
▪ Lead day to day operations for their assigned shift and within their assigned GSOC team.
▪ Oversee the implementation and application of policies and procedures
▪ Maintain current record keeping in support of the Watch Commander.
▪ Be prepared to back-fill and support the Watch Commander and/or GSOC FTE Shift Manager when needed.
▪ Responsible for using best practices to identify, analyze, and support all incidents that are either impactful or potentially impactful to the people, assets, and reputation of the client.
▪ Use best practices for communicating information surrounding incidents to appropriate leadership and stakeholders.
▪ Produce and review Incident Reports.
▪ Support, supervise, and assist GSOC Specialists and operators as they prepare for, respond to, and recover from both crisis and non-crisis incidents, monitor cameras and alarms, dispatch associated calls via telephone and radio, operate access control technology, and provide general assistance to both employees and guests.
▪ Supports leadership during critical incidents
▪ Ensures operational readiness for incident response
Qualifications
As a candidate, you must have:
▪ 1-3 years of experience in leading a team.
▪ 3-5 years of corporate security or GSOC environment experience.
▪ Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
▪ Able to work in and define ambiguity/gray areas.
▪ Strong interpersonal and networking skills with a strong ability to work in a team environment.
▪ Able to work under stressful conditions and adhere to tight deadlines
▪ Able to manage multiple streams of work in a fast-paced environment.
▪ Above average in computer applications, general understanding of security systems and general technical aptitude through demonstrated experience.
▪ Excellent verbal and communication skills.
▪ Think through problems for logical solutions and remain calm and professional under stress.
▪ Strong decision-making ability during both crisis and non-crisis situations.
▪ Able to work with highly confidential information.
▪ Must be able to speak clearly, give direction, and provide guidance to employees and security staff during emergencies.
▪ Able to work and communicate effectively with all levels of leadership
▪ Able to analyze threats for real time impact to the client operations with the ability to develop and direct mitigation strategies
▪ Must complete and maintain state guard certification as prescribed by presiding state law, as well as client requested certifications; all documentation and fees are the responsibility of the employee unless otherwise noted
