About the job:
Kent is looking for a Project Director who will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the projects from initiation to completion. This includes planning, executing, and closing projects within scope, budget, and schedule. You will collaborate with various stakeholders, including engineering teams, contractors, and clients, to ensure successful project delivery.

Responsibilities:
Project Planning:
- Develop comprehensive project plans outlining scope, schedule, budget, and resource requirements.
- Identify and assess potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Execution and Monitoring:
- Lead project teams in executing project plans and ensure adherence to established timelines and budgets.
- Monitor project progress, identify deviations, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
Stakeholder Management:
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand project requirements and expectations.
- Maintain effective communication channels with clients, contractors, and project teams.
Resource Management:
- Allocate resources efficiently and effectively to ensure project success.
- Coordinate with HR and project managers to secure necessary personnel for the project.
Quality Assurance:
- Implement and oversee quality control processes to ensure deliverables meet or exceed industry standards.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to verify compliance with project specifications.
Financial Management:
- Monitor project budgets and financial performance.
- Provide accurate and timely financial reports to senior management and clients.
Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE):
- Implement and enforce HSE policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Conduct regular safety audits and promote a culture of safety within the project team.
In addition to the responsibilities listed herein, the employee may be required to perform other ad-hoc tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor or management. These tasks will be within the reasonable scope of the employee's skills, capabilities, and role within the organization. The intent of this provision is to allow for flexibility and adaptability in meeting the dynamic needs of the organization, ensuring that operational requirements can be met efficiently. All such tasks will be assigned considering the employee's current workload and with respect to their professional development.
Your knowledge/skills, education, and experience:
Knowledge/ Qualification/ Training/ Certification:
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in engineering, Project Management, or a related field and 15+ years relevant experience.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) preferred.
- Significant related project management experience working for Engineering/Client organizations in the O&G industry and/or Low Carbon Energy Transition industry.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
Communication:
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
