About this role
The Senior Specialist for EV Program Strategy & Performance Analytics in the EV Strategy group supports the planning, development, execution, tracking and monitoring of the Electric Vehicle ("EV") near-term strategy to ensure Con Edison and New York State clean transportation and e-mobility goals and targets are achieved. The Senior Specialist is responsible for conducting analyses, developing and owning analytics tools, program tracking and optimization, incorporating market intelligence, and partnering with staff across the Department and external stakeholders to ensure successful program delivery.
Required Education/Experience
- Bachelor's Degree and 3 years of work experience or
- Master's Degree and 2 years of work experience.
Preferred Education/Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in business, engineering, math, science, energy-related discipline, policy, or economics preferred and 4 years business work experience in energy or electric vehicle or utility industry
- Master's Degree MBA, technical masters or PhD Preferred and 2 years of work experience
Relevant Work Experience
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and synthesize data into business insights and effectively communicate information through oral and written deliverables is required. Required
- Ability to manage ambiguity and work comfortably in a dynamic environment is required. Required
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project, is required. Required
- Ability to make real-time decisions under pressure is required. Required
- Intellectual curiosity and enthusiasm for learning new skills are required. Required
- One year of experience in utility EV programs, including utility EV program strategy, forecasting, and reporting, is preferred. Preferred
- Strong presentation and writing skills are preferred. Preferred
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize, analyze, and solve complex strategic and tactical challenges is preferred. Preferred
- Proven experience developing analytical tools using techniques such as statistics, predictive modeling, and/or machine learning is preferred. Preferred
- Knowledge of electric vehicles and/or clean energy programs and technologies is preferred. Preferred
- Knowledge of national and New York State clean energy policy is preferred. Preferred
- Experience analyzing or managing program performance and/or pipelines is preferred. Preferred
- Demonstrated organizational skills, with the ability to see the big picture while maintaining attention to detail, are preferred. Preferred
- Experience working with diverse teams to align stakeholders, implement business solutions, and drive results is preferred. Preferred

Additional Physical Demands
- The selected candidate will be assigned a System Emergency Assignment (i.e., an emergency response role) and will be expected to work non-business hours during emergencies, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
