Job Title: Human Resources Generalist Job Description
A growing manufacturing organization in southeastern Wisconsin is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to support day-to-day HR operations and talent acquisition activities. This position plays a key role in full-cycle recruiting, onboarding, employee administration, and fostering a positive employee experience across the organization. The role is ideal for a highly organized, detail-oriented professional who enjoys balancing recruiting responsibilities with broader HR administrative support and is looking to grow their HR career within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle recruiting for hourly and salaried positions, from sourcing through offer acceptance.
- Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop effective recruiting strategies.
- Source, screen, and schedule candidates using various recruiting channels and tools.
- Coordinate interviews and facilitate timely communication with candidates and hiring teams throughout the hiring process.
- Prepare offer letters and assist with pre-employment requirements and documentation.
- Track recruiting activity and maintain accurate applicant records within the applicant tracking system (ATS).
- Coordinate new hire onboarding and orientation to ensure a smooth transition into the organization.
- Maintain employee records and ensure all HR documentation is accurate, up to date, and compliant with company policies and regulations.
- Assist employees with HR-related questions regarding policies, benefits, and procedures.
- Support payroll and benefits administration processes as needed.
- Process personnel changes, including promotions, transfers, and terminations, in a timely and accurate manner.
- Assist with HR reporting, audits, and compliance initiatives, including leave administration such as FMLA.
- Help coordinate employee engagement programs and company events to strengthen workplace culture.
- Support training and development initiatives by organizing sessions and tracking participation.
- Assist with employee communications and updates to HR policies and procedures.
- Promote a positive workplace culture and employee experience through professional, responsive HR support.
Essential Skills
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in recruiting, human resources, or HR administration.
- Demonstrated experience in full-cycle recruiting and talent acquisition.
- Hands-on experience with HR administration, employee relations, and employee benefits support.
- Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and HRIS platforms.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with HR policies and procedures.
- Comfort working in or supporting a manufacturing, distribution, or industrial environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Experience supporting hiring and HR operations within a manufacturing, distribution, or industrial setting preferred.
- Knowledge of HR systems and processes, including payroll support and HR reporting.
- Understanding of employee relations, engagement initiatives, and training support.
- Familiarity with leave administration, including FMLA, is beneficial.
- Ability to build strong working relationships with employees and hiring leaders at all levels.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and a proactive, service-oriented approach to HR support.
Work Environment
This is an onsite position based in a manufacturing environment, working approximately 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The role involves regular interaction with employees and hiring managers across the facility and requires comfort operating in a fast-paced, production-focused setting. The work is primarily office-based, using standard office technology such as computers, HR systems, and Microsoft Office applications, with occasional movement throughout the facility to support onboarding, employee engagement activities, and HR-related needs.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pleasant Prairie, WI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.85 - $38.86/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job
classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be
