Job Description:
Duties/Responsibilities
- Athletic Trainers coordinate and provides coverage for outside events on behalf of the Sports Medicine Center
- Assist in the assessment and treatment of sport-related injuries at events designated by the Scotitsh Rite
- Provide sports injury assessment at events, and on-site care of athletic injuries, such as immediate first aid and evaluation of injury status
- Refer athletes requiring additional medical or health care services to the appropriate resources for such care (for example, the athlete’s primary care physician or nearest hospital)
Required Skills/Abilities
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in an accredited athletic training program or related field
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience preferred
- Board of Certification, Inc. (BOC) certification preferred
- License in the state of Texas
- CPR required
