Specific Responsibilities Would Include

The Associate Merchandiser provides operational and administrative support to the merchandising team throughout the product lifecycle. This role is responsible for sample management, merchandising system maintenance, reporting, presentation preparation, showroom support and cross-functional follow-up to ensure seasonal initiatives are executed accurately and on schedule.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Product Development & Execution

- Track the time-and-action calendar and follow up with Design, Production and Sales on open items, approvals and deadlines. Escalate late, incomplete, quality or technical issues to the appropriate partners and maintain visibility to progress against established financial goals.

- Prepare samples, boards, line sheets, reports and other materials for line reviews and internal meetings. Record edits and decisions from board review, pre-costing, line reviews, adoption and post-season reviews, and update working documents promptly after each meeting.

- Receive, unpack, organize, tag and hang incoming samples; maintain sample inventory and ensure samples are prepared for meetings, line reviews and customer presentations.

- Track sample requests, shipments, returns and storage locations to ensure accurate sample management throughout the season.

- Enter, update and maintain product, assortment, pricing and seasonal information within merchandising systems and reporting tools, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.

- Build and update presentations, line sheets, assortment tools and recaps for internal reviews, customer meetings and seasonal milestone presentations.

Cross-Functional Coordination

- Handle routine communication and follow-up with internal teams and external partners, including customers, suppliers, vendors and licensors, where applicable. Track requests, confirm next steps and bring unresolved issues to the Merchandiser.

- Coordinate with Sales on showroom set-up, sample organization, product labeling and line presentation. Support the Merchandiser and Brand Management, where applicable, by gathering product information and materials needed for in-store collateral.

- Assist with showroom setup, maintenance and seasonal resets in the Baltimore showroom, including organizing samples, product displays, meeting spaces and presentation materials.

- Compile product, sales and assortment information from multiple sources to support reporting, presentations and business reviews.

- Conduct routine audits of merchandising systems, spreadsheets and assortment tools to ensure information remains accurate and up to date.

Our Best Fit Candidate Would Have

- Strong organizational, follow-up and written and verbal communication skills

- Ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain accurate information and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

- Working knowledge of merchandising principles and customer needs

- Basic knowledge of garment construction and product development processes

- Bachelor’s Degree

- 3 - 5 years’ experience in apparel merchandising or buying, relevant experience in categories preferred

- Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with SAP or a similar enterprise system preferred

- Comfort working with detailed product information, spreadsheets, samples and recurring deadlines

- Ability to take direction, document decisions and complete follow-up accurately and on time

Salary Range: $75,000 - $85,000

Our job postings include an annual base salary range at the time of employment. The stated base salary range represents our good faith estimate as to what candidates are likely to expect, and we tailor our offers within the range based on several factors, including the selected candidate's educational and professional experience, industry knowledge, location, technical and communication skills, and other factors that may prove relevant during the selection process. Base salary is a part of a total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, annual bonus and other Centric Brands sponsored benefit programs.
