General Manager
Location: Shawano, WI

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead the daily operations and overall performance of a commercial printing facility. This position oversees people, production, customer service, and financial results while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and reliable delivery.

The ideal candidate is a practical leader who understands print manufacturing and can build accountability, develop department leaders, and improve operating performance.

Key Responsibilities

- Direct daily business and plant operations, coordinating priorities across departments.

- Lead department managers and establish clear expectations for performance, communication, and accountability.

- Oversee production planning, staffing, capacity, and delivery commitments.

- Monitor operating budgets, labor costs, material usage, waste, and profitability.

- Review production and financial results to identify problems and implement improvements.

- Partner with sales and customer service to align customer expectations with production capabilities.

- Address significant quality concerns, delivery issues, and customer escalations.

- Support hiring, employee development, performance management, and succession planning.

- Evaluate equipment, maintenance, and capital investment needs.

- Promote safe operations and consistent application of company policies.

Qualifications

- Leadership experience in commercial printing or a closely related manufacturing environment.

- Experience overseeing multiple departments and developing supervisors or managers.

- Working knowledge of print production, finishing, scheduling, and distribution.

- Experience managing budgets, operating costs, and business performance.

- Demonstrated ability to improve productivity, quality, and delivery results.

- Strong communication, decision making, and problem solving skills.

- Ability to balance customer needs, employee development, and financial objectives.
