Position Summary

The Director, Enterprise Learning & Capabilities leads Shaw's enterprise learning strategy, ensuring learning investments build workforce capabilities that strengthen business performance. This leader designs and executes innovative, skills-based, and AI-enabled learning solutions that advance The Shaw Way, accelerate leadership and workforce readiness, and create measurable business impact. Working closely with business leaders, HR leadership, and cross-functional partners, the Director establishes enterprise learning standards, drives capability-building priorities, and fosters a culture of continuous learning across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

- Enterprise Learning & Capability Strategy Develop and lead Shaw's enterprise learning and capabilities strategy aligned to The Shaw Way and TS&CE priorities.
- Manage learning offerings as an enterprise portfolio, ensuring resources are focused on high-impact initiatives.
- Establish and reinforce enterprise standards for learning design, measurement, and business impact.
- Consult with business leaders on workforce capability planning and strategic learning priorities.
- Ensure all learning investments are linked to measurable capability and business outcomes.

- Learning Function Leadership Lead a high-performing, agile learning organization with strengths in consulting, business acumen, analytics, and AI-enabled learning practices.
- Continuously optimize operating models, processes, and resource allocation to maximize strategic impact.
- Leverage automation and AI to improve efficiency across learning operations, content development, learner support, and reporting.
- Manage learning investments with strong financial discipline and business-value accountability.
- Lead the Learning & Capability Community of Practice to drive enterprise alignment and collaboration.

- Learning Experience & Capability Development Deliver innovative, data-driven, and personalized learning experiences that support workforce readiness at scale.
- Own enterprise onboarding operations and learning design.
- Partner in the design and evolution of enterprise leadership development programs, including Business Accelerator, Core Pathways, and executive orientation experiences.
- Enable enterprise adoption of skills-based development and integration of skills architecture within learning technologies.
- Expand access to high-quality development opportunities across Shaw.

- Learning Culture & Enterprise Partnership Champion a culture of continuous learning, capability growth, and shared accountability for development.
- Partner with HR leaders and business partners to align development efforts to enterprise standards and business priorities.
- Collaborate with Culture Enablement to strengthen The Shaw Way behaviors and leadership expectations.
- Promote psychologically safe learning environments that support growth, innovation, and performance.
- Elevate Shaw's learning brand internally and externally as a key component of the employee value proposition.

Position Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in behavioral sciences, organizational development, industrial/organizational psychology, human resources, or other related fields required and experience in a leadership position.
- 5+ years of leadership development or related experience.
- Must have proven organizational skills and are able to manage multiple projects.
- Proven people management skills and performance consultation skills.
- Must be able to work off shift as necessary and be able to travel 20% of the time.
- Must be a compelling communicator, including presentation and facilitation skills.
- Master's degree in organizational development, Organizational Behavior, or related discipline preferred.
- Prefer broad range and depth of knowledge as it relates to organizational development philosophies and principles.
