POSITION SUMMARY
The Payer Services Account Executive leads payer contracting and credentialing activities and supports the accurate and complete implementation of payer agreements across internal and external stakeholders.
This role develops and maintains relationships with third-party payers and vendors while helping resolve out-of-network issues, payment discrepancies, and contract implementation needs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Lead payer contracting efforts through prospecting and credentialing activities.
- Coordinate the accurate and complete implementation of payer agreements across internal teams and external partners.
- Develop, manage, and maintain relationships with third-party payers and vendors.
- Partner with payers and vendors to resolve out-of-network issues and payment discrepancies in accordance with contract terms.
- Maintain current and prospective account files, records, contract status, and requirements in accordance with company practices.
- Meet established project deadlines and performance standards.
- Complete required reporting and maintain accurate account and contract information.
- Utilize organizational applications and systems to troubleshoot and communicate contract status and requirements.
- Support achievement of assigned contracting, credentialing, and project milestones.
- Escalate payer or vendor issues appropriately and support timely resolution.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND TRAINING
- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 0–1 years of related experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong time management, prioritization, and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team.
- Strong analytical and proactive problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to build and maintain productive payer and vendor relationships.
- Ability to effectively use organizational systems to track, troubleshoot, and communicate contract status and requirements.
- Experience with payer contracting, credentialing, managed care, pharmacy, or healthcare (preferred)
