About the Role
We are actively seeking a compassionate and skilled Developmental Disability (DD) Supervisor - Residential Based to join our team full-time. This role is essential to our mission, providing therapy, crisis support, and service coordination for mental health clients in a variety of settings. As a Developmental Disability (DD) Supervisor - Residential Based with Starlight Behavioral Health, you will be responsible for daily oversight of residential homes and supervision of staff performance and respond to environmental and behavioral crisis situations.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for daily oversight of assigned residential settings. Homes must be evaluated for safety, cleanliness and regulatory compliance at least once daily, during staggered times to ensure oversight to all personnel. Weekly Inspection Logs are to be submitted to the Residential Director every Friday.
- Ability to travel on a regular basis to the homes you are assigned as required for routine visits or emergency situations.
- Follow up inspection (within 24 hours) at any home that does not meet Starlights standard of care and continue to ensure staff maintain a clean and safe consumer environment.
- Supervision of Direct Care Staff providing care in the assigned residential sites. Any performance issue or training deficit identified shall be reported to the Residential Director for follow up with Human Resources and assigned clinicians as needed.
- On Call to Respond to or Delegate Response to Environmental and Behavioral Crisis situations.
- Report any environmental deficiencies to the assigned case manager
- Participate in staff counseling sessions and disciplinary meetings as needed.
- Conduct mandatory monthly staff meetings to ensure all staff are providing consistent care. Document subject matter on a DD6 form and place. Staff may attend meetings via Google Hangout or in person.

Qualifications
- 18 years of age or older.
- Must have a High School Diploma or GED. Bachelors Degree preferred.
- A minimum of 1 year of direct supervisory experience in an adult group home, day program, inpatient treatment, or home healthcare setting - OR- 5 years of consecutive work history as a Direct Support Professional working specifically with the IDD population.
- Valid drivers license and reliable vehicle with insurance (no exceptions).
- Ability to pass a WV Cares background check.
- Ability to demonstrate basic computer/technical skills necessary to perform the administrative duties of the role.
- Availability to work nights or weekends in emergency situations.
