POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for increasing play from a specified target group. Responsible for tracking and monitoring targeted guests gaming behaviors. Responsible for connecting with our targeted guest via personal interactions, phone calls, hand written communication, texts, as well as other social media outlets on a regular structured basis.
E S S E NTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES in c l u d e the following:
- Speak with targeted players in person and on telephone to market promotions and events.
- Tele market new and inactive customers by mail/phone as well as analyzing and reporting the results of these efforts.
- Develop customer data sheets to retain pertinent information on each customer to better sustain relationships with targeted guests. This will need to be updated with each visit and interaction.
- Greet our targeted guests each opportunity on the floor, in social events and during special promotions.
- Track guests visits, arrange accommodations and provide complimentaries according to established guidelines.
- Approve and monitor comp issuance based on player performance. Ensures the protection of customers rewards and earned complimentaries.
- Attendance will be required at all VIP and Targeted player events to interact with invited players and provide guest service in a professional and courteous manner.
- Effectively handles customer complaints and discrepancies in an efficient and courteous manner.
- Meet goals and objectives for daily phone calls and letters mailed to current, inactive and prospective high-end players.
- Meet goals and objectives for monthly casino revenue and player development.
- Assists in the planning and hosting of special events (on and off property), dinners, tournaments, promotions and any event attributing to the success of the department and company.
- Maintains a working knowledge of the games offered, companys facility, as well as current and upcoming special events on property.
- Produces and summarizes daily shift reports as well as monthly and quarterly required reports.
- Maintain patron logs to keeps current the level of each patron in our targeted groupings.
- Develop e-mail blasts to promote play and to encourage VIPs to attend events.
- Assist with marketing events and promotions
- Other duties may be assigned.

E DUCATION/EXPERIENCE :
- Must be eighteen (18) years of age.
- Must have High School diploma or GED
- An Associate Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or Marketing is preferred.
May be substituted with one of the following: two (2) years casino experience in a customer service position or two (2) years as sales person or one (1) year as a Casino Host.
- SECOND LANGUAGE: It is preferred that any applicant can speak a second language. Applicants with a Bachelors degree may be considered without this skill. Applicants without a Bachelors Degree will be considered if they meet the minimum requirements below and they can speak one of the following languages: Spanish, Laos, Mandarin, Hmong, or Vietnamese
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS :
- Sh a l l possess a valid driver's license and be insurable by agencies insurance.
COMPUTER OPERATIONS
- Proficient personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.
L AN G U A G E SKILLS :
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
M A T HEMATICAL SKILLS :
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY :
- Ability to define problems, collects data, establishes facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
O T HER SKILLS AND ABILITIES :
- Ab i l i t y to operate standard office equipment (copier, fax, etc.).
- Mu s t be able to work with American Indian people and be sensitive to their culture.
- Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources.
- Pa rticipate in proactive team efforts of Bear River Casino Resort.
- P rovide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill.
- Must be able to work all shifts, weekends, holidays & special events as needed.
- Excellent written and communication skills. Hand writing must be easily readable.
- Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills in person and over the phone, in large or small groups.
- Must be comfortable making unsolicited phone calls to current casino and prospective patrons.
- Must have excellent knowledge of correct use of grammar.
- Experience utilizing databases and demographics for pulling reports and other data.
- High proficiency in computer and internet use including Microsoft Office and familiarity with database programs, reports, and building spreadsheets.
- Strong mathematical skills including the use of formulas.

WO RK ENVIRONMENT :
T h e work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Must be able to work in a smoke-filled environment. Although we employ state of the art filtration systems, cigarette smoke is in the work environment.
