What you'll do at Jamf
The Digital Success Engineer builds the automation, tooling, and integrations that power Jamf’s digital customer success motion — the agents, agentic workflows, and connected systems that deliver proactive, one-to-many engagement at scale. Reporting to the Director, Strategic Programs, the role partners with the Digital Success Strategy Manager, who owns the strategy and requirements for the motion, turning that vision into working, maintained technology that reaches customers and drives adoption.
What you can expect to do in this role:
- Builds and maintains the automation, tooling, and integrations behind the digital customer success motion, including agentic workflows, in-app guidance, and the connectors that tie them to systems such as Snowflake, Salesforce, Gainsight, and Slack.
- Turns the strategy and requirements set by the Digital Success Strategy Manager into working technology including scoping, building, testing, and shipping the components that deliver the engagement model.
- Monitors, troubleshoots, and improves the digital-success tooling in production, including fixing issues, versioning changes, and keeping the motion running reliably.
- Implements the logic that targets and personalizes engagement — translating adoption, health, and usage signals into the triggers and flows that drive proactive outreach.
- Applies AI-assisted and modern development tooling — agent and prompt engineering, version control, and connector-based (MCP) workflows — evaluating outputs for accuracy before they reach customers.
- Builds in the guardrails for automated customer-facing communication — draft-first review, human approval where needed, and controls that keep the motion safe to run at scale — consistent with the governance set for the motion.
- Partners with the Customer Success Analytics Engineer and data teams on the data, definitions, and pipelines the tooling depends on.
- Documents and packages what is built so it can be maintained, reused, and handed off.
- Works with general autonomy on how to build, taking direction from the Digital Success Strategy Manager on what to build and in what priority, and escalating cross-functional or technical decisions as needed.
- Evaluates emerging AI tools, models, and platforms, and recommends adoption where they meaningfully improve the reliability, speed, or reach of the digital customer success motion.
- Other duties and special projects as assigned.
What we are looking for:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in a technical build role — software or automation engineering, solutions or integration engineering, analytics engineering, or similar — ideally in a SaaS or customer-facing context (required)
- Hands-on ability to build and maintain automation and integrations — comfort with APIs, data connectors, and scripting or low-code automation across systems such as Snowflake, Salesforce, Gainsight, and Slack (required)
- Experience building against defined requirements and priorities, turning a strategy or specification into working, tested technology (required)
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development — agent or prompt engineering, or connector-based (MCP) workflows — and evaluating AI-generated outputs with critical judgment (preferred)
- Comfort with version control (e.g., git) and modern software and data-stack practices (required)
- Working knowledge of customer success or customer-engagement data and metrics (preferred)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work from direction and partner across strategy, data, and customer success teams (required)
EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical, quantitative, or related field, or equivalent experience (required)
- A combination of relevant experience and education may be considered.
- Certifications in relevant development, automation, or data platforms (preferred)
