Position Summary

The Assistant Home Shopping Manager supports the Home Shopping Manager in overseeing daily eCommerce and online grocery operations. This role assists with order fulfillment, customer service, associate development, productivity management, and operational execution to ensure customers receive accurate, high-quality orders on time. The Assistant Home Shopping Manager helps drive department sales, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency while maintaining compliance with company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Department Operations

- Assist in managing daily home shopping and eCommerce operations.
- Ensure online orders are picked, packed, staged, and delivered accurately and on time.
- Monitor department workflows and staffing to meet service level expectations.
- Support execution of company initiatives, promotions, and digital programs.
- Maintain department organization, cleanliness, and operational readiness.

Customer Experience

- Deliver exceptional customer service for online and curbside customers.
- Resolve customer concerns, substitutions, and order issues promptly and professionally.
- Monitor customer satisfaction metrics and implement improvement strategies.
- Promote a customer-first culture among all department associates.

Leadership & Associate Development

- Provide leadership, coaching, and support to Home Shopping associates.
- Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, scheduling, and performance management.
- Support associate development and succession planning efforts.
- Foster teamwork, accountability, and a positive work environment.

Inventory & Order Accuracy

- Monitor inventory availability and product substitutions.
- Ensure accurate product selection and order fulfillment.
- Work with department leaders to reduce out-of-stocks and improve inventory accuracy.
- Assist with managing shrink and reducing product waste.

Financial Performance

- Support department sales and profitability goals.
- Monitor labor utilization and productivity metrics.
- Assist in implementing action plans to improve operational efficiency.
- Help manage department expenses and resources effectively.

Safety & Compliance

- Ensure compliance with company policies, food safety regulations, and operational procedures.
- Maintain a safe environment for associates and customers.
- Follow all handling, storage, and transportation requirements for customer orders.
- Assist with audits, inspections, and corrective action plans as needed.

Technology & Digital Operations

- Utilize ordering, fulfillment, and reporting systems effectively.
- Monitor order queues, fulfillment metrics, and customer feedback.
- Support implementation of new technologies and process improvements.
- Troubleshoot operational issues to minimize disruptions to service.
